Traffic regulation in the lagoons of French Polynesia

In summary

Traffic in the lagoons of French Polynesia is carried out in accordance with the regulations to prevent collisions at sea.

In addition, traffic must be carried out according to the following principles:

• As much as possible, ships and boats must hold to the right of the channels and turn port;
• The speed must be less than five knots within 70 metres of shore or within 70 metres of fixed or mobile fishing facilities and port structures.
